Conway police identify suspect in connection to string of Church Street armed robberies

Conway police have identified a suspect in connection to a string of armed robberies on Church Street and are asking for the public’s help in locating him.

Police have issued warrants for the arrest of Antonio Xavier Mccray, who they believe robbed Carolina Payday Loans at gunpoint Nov. 27, according to a news release. Authorities also have warrants for Mccray in connection to a previous armed robbery at the same location, as well as at Upfront Loans at 610 Church St.

Police say Mccray entered Carolina Payday Loans, showed a gun and demanded money, the release states.

Officers warn that Mccray should be considered armed and dangerous. Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts contact the Conway Police Department Investigations Division at 843-248-1790.
