Conway police seize a pound of marijuana, guns during recent home search

Conway police seized a pound of marijuana, more than 300 rounds of ammunition and guns in a recent search.

On Dec. 5, Conway police were helping the Horry County Sheriff’s Office near Hemingway Street in Conway, according to the agency. That led to officers getting a search warrant for 1782 Hemingway Street.

Officers used the search warrant to enter the home and found marijuana, 350 rounds and two semi-automatic handguns.

Four people were charged in connection to the case:

  • Davonte Javal Shepard with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute close proximity to school.
  • Justin Devon Bromell with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute close proximity to school.
  • Byran Bromell with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute close proximity to school.
  • Quashaun Cliffton Bromell with possession of pistol by certain person, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute close proximity to school.
