Man stabbed in the back — literally— after break up, Myrtle Beach PD report says

The phrase “stabbed in the back” became reality after one break up in Myrtle Beach, according to police.

Myrtle Beach police responded to 103 N. Ocean Blvd. around 4:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving for a reported assault that happened at a nearby mini-mart.

The victim said he told his girlfriend of two years that he no longer wanted to be in a relationship, according to the report. The victim said his girlfriend got angry and stabbed him in the back with an unknown object.

The victim told police that he did not see the weapon, but knows the woman carries a knife at all times, the report states.

EMS checked the victim’s injuries, and he had a small cut to his back, according to the report.

The suspect was not on scene, and police say they plan to get a warrant against her for domestic violence. She had not been arrested as of Friday morning.
