Man reports gun pointed at him following argument about money, woman

A 32-year-old man told Myrtle Beach police that while he spoke to a 21-year-old man about money they argued and the man pointed a gun at him, according to a police report.

The victim when to the police department at 12:04 a.m. Monday to report the incident, which he said happened just before 7 p.m. Sunday, police said.

The victim said he went up to the younger man while they both were in the 800 block of Carolina Cove Drive to discuss the money, according to the report. The victim said the suspect accused him of sleeping with the mother of the suspect’s child.

The victim said he left and the suspect followed him in a 2001 Jeep and pointed a handgun toward him, according to the report. The victim said he stopped and pulled over near Pridgen Road and Secondary Highway 15 and the suspect got out and pointed the gun at his face.

The victim said another man witnessed the incident, grabbed the suspect and told him to leave, according to the report. The victim said the suspect threatened him and then left.
