Motorcyclist dies two weeks after crash in Myrtle Beach

A Maryland man who was involved in a motorcycle crash on May 21 has died, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.

Reginald Rivers, 30, of Middle River, Md., was pronounced dead at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, said Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.

The man, who was not wearing a helmet, had suffered sever head trauma and had been on life support for some time, Fowler said.

Rivers lost control of a motorcycle at about 7:10 p.m. May 21 on Harrelson Boulevard east of Highway 15 in Myrtle Beach. He was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on Sunday.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating the incident.
