Myrtle Beach police responded after a store clerk at Badd Kitty reported she was robbed at gunpoint, according to a police report.
Officers were called about 11:30 p.m. Monday to adult novelty store Badd Kitty at 1104 N. Kings Highway where a 23-year-old woman reported the incident.
Police said when they arrived several officers and crime scene investigators were already there.
The victim said a man walked into the store about 8:35 p.m. Monday night and he pulled out a small gun, pointed it at her and demanded cash, police said.
The victim told authorities she emptied the cash register, but the alleged robber said he knew she had more cash.
The victim said she ran toward the stock room and got more money from a cash box and gave it to the man, who had a hood up and was holding a bandana across his face, authorities said.
The victim told police the suspect told her to stay in the stock room before he left, so the victim didn’t see which way he went.
Police did find a man in the area matching the suspect’s description, but the victim said the man in question was not the alleged robber.
