Police respond after woman’s Coach purse snatched

Myrtle Beach police responded after a woman said someone came up behind her and snatched her Coach-brand purse off her arm in the parking lot of an apartment complex, authorities said.

Officers were called about 12:30 a.m. Thursday to an apartment complex on the 1300 block of Pridgen Road, off Highway 15, where a 45-year-old woman reported the incident.

The victim told police that she pulled into the apartment complex parking lot and was getting things from her car when she felt someone take the purse off her arm.

The victim said she wasn’t able to get a description of the suspect.

The victim told police the suspect got away with credit cards, a checkbook, passport, driver’s license and about $20 among other items, authorities said.

Police were still investigating the incident Thursday morning and noted they would try to get surveillance footage from the apartment management office.
