Police investigating after woman robbed and forced from moving car

A woman told Myrtle Beach police that a man pulled out a gun, took her belongings, and forced her from a moving car, authorities said.

Officers were called about 2:30 a.m. Monday to the roadway near 16th Avenue South and Yaupon Drive where a 27-year-old woman reported the incident.

The victim told police she met three men near an Ocean Boulevard hotel. The victim said the group then drove over to 16th Avenue South and Yaupon Drive.

The victim said that one of the men then pulled out a black handgun and robbed her of her purse, which contained her credit and debit cards, and forced her from the car while it was moving, according to the police report.

The victim said she did not know any of the suspects’ names.
