Myrtle Beach police charge man with four counts each of armed robbery and kidnapping after women reported they were stopped by some men who threw money into the vehicle early Sunday, according to a police report.
Terry Glenn Jenkins Jr., 25, was charged with four counts of armed robbery, four counts of kidnapping, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and first-degree burglary and he was taken into custody in the 100 block of South Ocean Boulevard, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records.
Four women, ages 31, 29, and 33, told police that about 3:15 a.m. Sunday they were pulled into the parking lot at 564 S. Ocean Blvd. when a few guys were throwing money into the vehicle, police said.
The 31-year-old woman told officers that she parked and the men followed them to their hotel room door, according to the report. Two men went inside the room with the women and one man pointed a handgun at them and said “you think this is a game?”
One of the women replied, “Are you really going to rob a room full of women?” The armed man demanded money and the women gave him about $25 in one dollar bills and a cellphone before the men left the room, according to the report.
It was unclear how police linked Jenkins to the incident and no other charges had been filed in the incident.
