Woman reports being sexually assaulted in Myrtle Beach

A woman told Myrtle Beach police she was raped by a 30-year-old man in an Ocean Boulevard hotel room Sunday night, according to a police report.

The victim told police that she was raped between 6 p.m. Sunday and 1:13 a.m. Monday in a room in the 2500 block of North Ocean Blvd., officers said. The victim followed an officer to the hospital for a medical examination.

Detectives were called to investigate the incident.

No other details were listed in the report.
