Myrtle Beach police investigating reports of stolen vehicles

Myrtle Beach police investigated several reports of stolen vehicles on Sunday.

The first happened about 2:30 Sunday morning. The victim didn’t realize his 1978 Chevy Monte Carlo had been stolen, until his friend spotted it at the intersection of 21st and Yaupon, according to the police report.

Police discovered a screwdriver in the car that did not belong to the victim. According to the report, it is suspected that the screwdriver was used to enter and start the car. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

About 9:30 Sunday morning police responded to the 200 block of Ocean Boulevard on a report of a stolen 2007 Cadillac Escalade that had a semiautomatic handgun inside.

According to the police report, the victim left the vehicle at about 12:30 Sunday morning.

A third vehicle went missing from the 300 block of Ocean Boulevard.

According to the police report, the victim left a 2004 Crown Victoria in a parking lot at about 4:00 Sunday morning. The victim returned about two hours later to find his car was gone.

Myrtle Beach police are also investigating a stolen motorcycle from the 200 block of 75th Avenue.

The victim left his 2002 Yamaha about 2:00 Sunday morning. He returned at 8:30 to find it missing.
