Myrtle Beach police charged a 21-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery that happened on Spivey Avenue, according to a police report.
Shaquille Anthony Gore, 21, of Myrtle Beach was charged with armed robbery Sunday and later released on $25,000 bail, according to jail records.
A 37-year-old man told officers that he went to meet with a friend about 6:30 p.m. Saturday when three men, including Gore, came up to him and told him to empty his pockets, police said.
The victim said one of the men went through his pockets while another went through the victim’s vehicle and one of the men had a gun pointed at him, according to the report. The victim said he punched one man in the face before the men left in a vehicle.
The victim said he knew Gore from a prior event, according to the report. The victim reported his laptop, valued at $800, and his cellphone, valued at $130, were stolen from his car.
