Update: Horry County police charge man in deadly Racepath shooting

Police have charged a man with murder in the shooting death of a woman in the Racepath Community.

Police took James A Wilson, 22, of North Myrtle Beach, into custody on Saturday afternoon.

According to police records, Wilson is now charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a a violent crime. No bail is set.

Nigeria McDonald, 21, was shot Friday night on Racepath Street in Myrtle Beach.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler says McDonald died at Grand Strand Medical Center Friday night from her injuries sustained during the shooting.
