Police find watches in woman’s bra following mall shoplifting incident

Myrtle Beach police arrested a woman at Coastal Grand mall after an officer found two watches in her bra following a shoplifting incident.

Shawna Marie Lambert, 31, was arrested and charged with shoplifting and is being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail on a $781 bond, according to jail records.

Officers were called about 5:30 p.m. Monday to Dillard’s at Coastal Grand mall in Myrtle Beach where a loss-prevention employee had detained Lambert, police said.

Authorities said Lambert was seen by a witness taking two bottles of perfume and a watch and hiding them while walking around the store.

Lambert was stopped by a store officer after trying to leave without paying and taken to the loss-prevention office, authorities said.

Police said Lambert confessed to the shoplifting and admitted to taking items from another store in the mall an hour earlier. Lambert was searched and police then found two watches in her bra, according to the report.

Lambert was then taken to the Myrtle Beach Jail for booking.
