A woman was arrested by Myrtle Beach police after a man was assault, a computer broken, a television was hit with a baseball bat, and officers said she resisted arrest at a restaurant.

Police said she also was wanted in connection with a recent robbery and burglary.

Police charged Prencess Jentia Godwin, 25, with criminal domestic violence, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer, according to jail records.

Myrtle Beach police were called about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday to Pizza Shak at 940 U.S. 501 where a 45-year-old man reported the incident, authorities said.

Police said Godwin called the victim several times while he was at Pizza Shak and argued with him over the phone.

The victim told police Godwin came to Pizza Shak about 4:30 a.m. with a 36-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man. Godwin then went into the restaurant’s office and hit a television with a baseball bat, police said.

The victim and other witnesses said it looked as if Godwin was going to leave, but then she came back and threw a computer, a monitor and other items in the floor, authorities said.

Godwin grabbed the victim’s neck while he and the two others she came with tried to escort her out of the business.

Once the victim was outside, Godwin grabbed a brick and the victim and witnesses said it appeared she was going to throw it toward their cars, but police arrived on the scene, and Godwin dropped the brick, authorities said.

Officers told Godwin she was going to jail in connection with public intoxication and criminal domestic violence, and Godwin began resisting arrest, according to police.

Police said she used her legs to push herself off the officers’ car. Authorities said they repeatedly asked her to stop resisting, but she continued to resist and yell at officers.

Godwin told authorities, “Take these cuffs off and see what happens,” according to the report.

Godwin was forced into the back of the police patrol car where she started kicking one of the arresting officers. Police were able to strap her in, and she was taken to the Myrtle Beach Jail, authorities said.

Godwin also had active warrants for her arrest in connection with another, unrelated incident, according to jail records.

Godwin also was charged in connection with a robbery and burglary that occurred April 25, according to another police report.

Officers were called about 5:25 p.m. Saturday to a home on the 300 block of Cedar Street where a 36-year-old man reported the incident.

The victim told police that a man and two women forced themselves inside his home after knocking at his door.

Once inside, the male suspect punched the victim in the face and one of the women went through his pockets.

The victim said he was able to fight off the man and the group then ran from his home, police said.
