Woman involved in New Year’s Eve robbery returns to S.C. after stay in Alabama jail
After some time on the run, a Georgetown County woman is behind bars for her alleged role in a Dec. 31, 2017 robbery.
Shannon Lane Bone, 36, of Andrews was arrested Jan. 4 in Birmingham, Ala on the charge of being a fugtive from justice. She was extradited Thursday and booked at the Georgetown County Detention Center, where she faces charges of armed robbery and robbery while in possession of a deadly weapon.
As of 6 p.m. Thursday, no bail amount has been set.
According to witnesses quoted in a police report, Bone entered the 521 Mini-Mart in the 9200 block of Highmarket Street around 7 a.m. on Dec. 31, 2017 displaying a handgun. She is alleged to have robbed the store and fled on foot before leaving in a dark gray or black 2007 Chevrolet Trail Blazer.
This is not Bone’s first time behind bars. Her rap sheet dates back to 2001, including traffic violations to drug and burglary charges in multiple jurisdictions.
