Two Myrtle Beach men plead guilty Tuesday to federal drug offenses.
According to a prepared statement by the office of U.S. Attorney Beth Drake, 34-year-old Chris Anthony Bellamy and 40-year-old Andre Matrel Rogers entered a guilty plea on charges of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of cocaine base.
“The evidence presented at the guilty plea hearing established that, pursuant to a joint federal and state drug trafficking investigation in the Myrtle Beach area, law enforcement officers made a controlled purchase of cocaine base from Bellamy on Aug. 20, 2015,” the prepared statement said. “ Investigators later made a controlled purchase of cocaine base from Rogers on Sept. 18, 2015.”
The case was investigated by the FBI and the Fifteenth Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit.
Both men face up to 30 years in prison, along with six years of supervised release. They also must pay a $2 million fine.
