One detained in Citizens Bank robbery
Georgetown City Police were on scene at Citizens Bank after a bank robbery occurred Wednesday morning, according to Capt. Nelson Brown with the police department.
Police have obtained a “person of interest” in connection with the case, said Brown, but no arrests have been made yet.
According to authorities, the suspect is reported to be a black male wearing a black hoodie and bandana, who allegedly left the scene in a white vehicle.
Photos of the robbery released by police show what appears to be the suspect pointing a firearm inside the bank.
The robbery occurred around 10:15 a.m. at the bank which is located at 1510 Exchange Street.
