A juvenile and two men have been arrested in connection to Thursday’s shooting that injured one in the Pawleys Island area.
According to the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened around noon on Waverly Road near the victim’s home.
Jason Lesley, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, says an 18-year-old man was transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and wrist.
A juvenile, whose name was not released, is being charged as an adult with attempted murder, police said.
Two others have been charged as well, and are being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
Police charged Marquis Donnell Britton, 17, of Georgetown, with accessory after the fact to a felony and 19-year-old Jawan Keyshawn Bryant, who also lives on Waverly Road, with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and obstruction of justice.
Bryant was a former standout basketball player at Waccamaw High School and was a member of The Sun News’ 2016-17 Toast of the Coast Boys Basketball Team.
