Elderly man reports receiving more than 500 grams of marijuana in the mail
An elderly man flagged down a Myrtle Beach police officer at the Carolina Breeze Apartments around 11 a.m. Wednesday and reported receiving a package of nearly 508 grams of marijuana in the mail.
The “tenant cracked the box open” before realizing it was addressed to someone else, according to an incident report.
Police said the box contained “what appeared to be a green leaf substance that was in shrink wrap” and weighed an estimated 507.9 grams.
No suspects were listed in the report.
The case remains under investigation.
