He ordered chicken tenders, cheeseburgers and all their money

A man on a moped, who ordered chicken tenders and two cheeseburgers, is accused of robbing a Wendy’s drive-thru at gunpoint late Tuesday night.

Horry County police were called to the Wendy’s on Dick Pond Road at 11:43 p.m.

A woman working the drive-thru window told police that the man gave her $13 to pay for his $12.66 order, but told her he had change. She said the man then pulled a black handgun from his pocket, pointed it at her and said, “Give me the money.”

The man reached in and grabbed money from the register while the drawer was open, according to an incident report. The store manager told police that $253 was taken from the drawer.

The man reportedly fled the scene on a red moped with black lines and the word “moped” on its side. The suspect had blue or green eyes, stood approximately 5-feet-9-inches tall and was wearing a gray face mask, a gray pullover and “blue jean type pants,” police noted in the report.

The incident remains under investigation.
