Two people are facing charges in a murder case involving the shooting death of a 30-year-old man Friday night.

Powell is being jailed without bond on the murder charge, $2,500 on the drug charges, and on a $10,000 for the communicating threats charge, Flax said.

Summer Lynn Gray, 23, is charged with accessory after the fact of murder and possession of cocaine. Her bond was set at $500,000 on the accessory charge and $10,000 for the cocaine charge, police said.

The charges stem from an incident that happened about 6:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Carlon Road and George Daniel Road in the Longwood, N.C. area, Flax said.

Anthony Scott Beers, 30, was shot and taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injury early Sunday morning, according to Flax, who announced Sunday that deputies were seeking information in the case and offering a $1,000 reward.
