A gun was held to his head as suspects took cash, jewelry, cops say

Suspects took a 30-year-old man’s gold necklace and wallet with $600 inside as they held a gun his head Monday night, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.

Officers were called about 7:20 p.m. to the 2000 block of Greens Boulevard where the man told them he was robbed at gunpoint as he went to visit a girl he knows at the apartment building.

As he walked up the steps outside, he saw two men sitting on the stairs. He knocked on the apartment door, and no one answered, the report states.

He then noticed the two men he saw before were behind him, and turned around when he heard what sounded like a gun cocking, he told police.

One of the men held the gun up to the man’s head as the armed suspect took the man’s Coach-brand wallet, and his gold necklace, valued at $380, according to police.

The suspects then left the area after the robbery, the man told officers, and said he believed they got into a blue Crown Victoria.

Detectives went to the scene and started investigating, the report states.
