Hundreds of dollars worth of clothing taken from The Market Common store
More than $500 worth of clothing was snatched from store shelves in The Market Common Thursday morning, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.
Officers were called about 10:30 a.m. to the Victoria’s Secret store on Howard Avenue for a shoplifting report. A woman at the store told police she heard someone come inside just after the shop opened at 10 a.m.
She told officers she looked out from a store window and saw a woman walking across Howard Avenue, carrying a black bag, the report states.
She said she saw the woman get into a black sports utility vehicle that left the area. She told police she then noticed 15 pairs of Pink-brand leggings and a hoodie were missing from shelves near the front of the store.
The value of the missing merchandise totaled to $554.00, according to the report.
