Georgetown County police asking for help identifying golf club thief
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who stole golf clubs and resold them.
The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office responded to 54 Long Creek Drive in Murrells Inlet on Sunday in reference to several stolen golf clubs, police said. While officers were collecting information from the victim, Akers Discount Golf – located at 5141 Highway 17 Bypass in Murrells Inlet – notified the victim that someone sold golf clubs matching the description of the stolen items.
The suspect is described as a white male with “Locals Only” tattooed on his stomach, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 546-5101. Anonymous tips can be sent by using Text-A-Tip by dialing 274637 and texting the word “GCSOTIP” followed by your message.
