A 15-year-old girl, who was reported missing about a week ago, was found by Darlington County Sheriff's Department deputies Thursday and is being returned to her family in Horry County, according to Lt. Raul Denis, spokesman for Horry County police.

Horry County police were looking for 15-year-old Antasia L. Davis, who was reported missing by her family on April 8, Denis said.

Authorities said Davis ran away from a family home between 2 and 11 p.m. on April 7 in the city limits of Myrtle Beach.

On April 9, Davis spoke with a family friend on Ninth Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, but the friend was unable to bring her back home at that time, Denis said.

Police said she may have been in the Florence area now; she was likely to travel from Florence to Myrtle Beach or Conway.
