Conway police arrest one suspect; another wanted person still on loose
Conway police arrested one of two suspects they were searching for Monday, according to a release from Selena Small with the Conway Police Department.
The release states that Olymphia Delialah Briann Raines of Conway – who was suspected fraud involving identity theft – was arrested Monday.
Meanwhile, 38-year-old Kevin McClellan of Conway – who is wanted in a separate incident for charges of first-degree domestic violence, first-degree burglary, trespassing and unlawfully carrying a pistol after an incident on Nov. 12 – has yet to be captured..
Conway police say Raines, 41, is wanted for criminally receiving stolen goods from an incident at the 2709 Church St. Wal-Mart.
A woman told law enforcement officers in Casper, Wyoming, that someone had opened accounts in her name and had used the accounts to make two purchases at the Conway Wal-Mart on June 26, according to an incident report. The account was used for a $1,009.88 purchase at 3:11 p.m. and again for a $504.94 transaction two minutes later.
The case was referred from the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office in Wyoming to the Horry County Police Department before the matter, which was centered in Conway’s jurisdiction, was sent to CPD.
In McClellan’s case, Conway officers were called to a home on Bayside Avenue that day where police say he threatened a woman with a gun after he broke into her house in the heat of an argument.
Anyone with any information on the location of McClellan is asked to contact their local police department or the Conway Police Department at 843-248-1790.
