Police searching for 3 suspects in Conway home invasion; infant threatened

Horry County police are searching for three male suspects in connection with a home invasion in Conway.

Police responded to a home on Lambert Road around 10 p.m. Monday to meet with a 68-year-old man who said three masked men forced their way into his home and took 11 guns and prescription medicine, according a police report.

The victim said he was trying to put a 1-year-old girl to sleep when the suspects knocked on the door and forced their way into his home. A second victim, a woman, tried to help the first victim close the door but all three suspects threatened the victims with guns, the report said.

The victims were made to sit in the middle of the floor with guns pointed at their heads while the suspects went through a safe and dresser drawers. The victim also told police the suspects pointed a gun at the 1-year-old victim, the report said.

The victims were then made to lay down in the bathroom and not move while the suspects left the residence, police said. Victim one — the 68-year-old man — told police he waited a few minutes before grabbing a handgun from his truck and driving to a neighbor’s house to call police.

The suspects took 11 guns, including a 38 Dillinger and an AK-47, as well as Percocet and Zanex medications from the residence. Three cell phones, some old coins and an unknown amount of money also was stolen, according to the report.

The suspects are described as about 20 years old, 5 ft. 10 in. tall, 150 lbs. and dressed in all black clothing.

Anyone with information on these suspects or this case is asked to contact police at 248-1520 or 915-8477.
