A Myrtle Beach woman was arrested after police said she pointed a gun at someone during an argument.

Ruth Marlou Griffin, 48, was charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person and is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on $5,000 bond, according to jail records.

Myrtle Beach police were called about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday to a home on the 3900 block of Camellia Drive, off 44th Avenue North, according to a police report.

A 42-year-old victim told police Griffin pointed what looked to be a handgun at her then ran inside the home on Camellia Drive.

Griffin told police she did not know anything about the incident and did not have a gun, authorities said.

A witness told police that he saw Griffin outside causing a disturbance before police arrived, according to the report.

Myrtle Beach police detectives arrived on the scene and determined Griffin should be arrested in connection with the incident after doing an investigation, authorities said.
