Horry County police announced Vandunk was a suspect in mid-June after a shooting that was reported on June 4 outside Pirate’s Voyage off Kings Highway.
No one was injured in the shooting, according to police, in which a security guard reported seeing two men run from the front of the business to the back where he heard what sounded like three to five gunshots at about 8:30 p.m.
The guard told authorities one of the men then ran back in the opposite direction, got into a white car and sped away, according to a police report.
Another employee at the scene told officers they saw one of the men run to the back parking lot area then turn to fire three shots back toward the building, the report stated. That employee identified the suspect from a DMV photo, police said.
Other witnesses there also identified the suspect back in June, according to authorities.
