She didn’t know where she was or how she got shot at a Myrtle Beach Halloween party

A 21-year-old woman told police she was shot in the leg at a Halloween party somewhere in Myrtle Beach, but just how she was shot, exactly where the party was or how she got there remained a mystery.

Myrtle Beach police were called to the Conway Medical Center around 1 a.m. Wednesday for a gunshot victim.

The victim and another woman told officers they were “attending a party” when the victim “all of a sudden started to feel a weird feeling in her leg.”

“The victim stated she heard what sounded like a firecracker going off and then realized her leg was bleeding,” police noted in an incident report. The other woman drove her to the hospital.

“After several rounds of questioning,” police say, the women “did not provide any substantial information. They continuously stated they did not know where they were at or how they got there.”

“They would not provide additional information on the situation leading up to the gunshot wound,” police said in the report. And the “victim did not want any police involvement,” the report stated.

Officers took photos of the gunshot wound on the victim’s leg. The incident remains under investigation.
