An Horry County man has been convicted of re-entering the United States illegally after he had already been deported previously.

Miguel Pedroza-Naquid, 27, was charged with a single-count of illegal reentry into the U.S. after deportation, a violation of Title 8, United States Code, Section 1326(a), according to a release from the office of U.S. Attorney Beth Drake.

Pedroza-Naquid faces a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a fine of $250,000, the release states.

Myrtle Beach police arrested him back in August and charged him with first-degree domestic violence, online jail records show.

The case was investigated by the ICE-Enforcement Removal Operations and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney A. Bradley Parham of the Florence office.
