Myrtle Beach police arrest two in connection with armed robbery
Myrtle Beach police have arrested a man and a woman in connection with an armed robbery that happened Monday night.
Thomas Hill, 32, was charged with armed robbery, and Michele Lee Parker, 46, was also charged with armed robbery, according to jail records.
Both were arrested Tuesday and are being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail.
Police first responded to the armed robbery about 11 p.m. Monday to a hotel at 2201 S. Ocean Blvd., where a 33-year-old victim reported the incident, according to a police report.
The victim told officers he was walking on the sidewalk when Hill asked him a question from across the street. The victim used profanity while telling the man to leave him alone. Hill then jumped the fence and hit the victim with some type of baton, police said.
The victim told police Hill tried to get money out of his pocket, but was only able to take his identification card. Parker was with Hill and told him to “hit him [the victim] again” during the robbery, according to the report.
Hill and Parker then ran from the scene. A security guard told an officer he witnessed the incident and gave a description of the alleged robber, police said.
The victim was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment, police said.
