Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office deputies are asking for the community’s help in finding the suspect or suspects wanted in connection with a burglary that happened last month.

Authorities were called about 5:30 a.m. March 8 to the 300 block of Lakeshore Drive in the north Litchfield community where a victim told police a purse was taken, according to Carrie Cuthbertson, sheriff’s office spokeswoman.

Police investigated, but did not find anyone at the scene after they arrived, Cuthbertson said.

The victim’s credit card was used about 6 a.m. March 8 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter on the Garden City Connector.

Anyone who can identify the individual in surveillance pictures, or has any information on this incident, is urged to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at 546-5101.

Anonymous tips can also be sent by using “Text-A-Tip.” To use this service, just dial 274637 from any text enabled cell phone, and text the word “GCSOTIP,” followed by your message. This service is for crime tips only, not for the reports of crimes in progress, according to authorities.
