Authorities net three during Pawleys Island area drug bust, looking for another
Three men were arrested in connection with drug charges Saturday night in Pawleys Island as agents worked together in an operation, according to a Facebook post from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
Agents with the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit and GCSO arrested the men and said they are still searching for a fourth after doing a street level enforcement operation, officials said.
According to authorities, those arrested and their charges are:
• Randall Lee Godbolt of Pawleys Island, is charged with distribution of crack cocaine, third offense and distribution of a controlled substance within a half mile of a school or park, as well as being a suspended driver.
• Raymond Ruffin Jr. of Georgetown was is charged with distribution of crack cocaine, second offense and possession of marijuana.
• Kadeem Richard Smith of Georgetown is charged with three counts of distribution of heroin, as well as possession of marijuana.
Brenton Lee Rutledge of Georgetown allegedly fled from authorities and is wanted in connection with failure to stop for a blue light, habitual offender, driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rutledge is currently out on bond after being charged with distribution of crack, third offense, trafficking crack, third offense, possession with intent to distribute heroin, third offense and failure to stop for a Blue Light.
