Georgia woman charged in connection with man’s stabbing death
A 32-year-old woman is charged in connection to Friday’s stabbing death of a 35-year-old man.
Donnielle Matthews Green, 32 of Covington, Ga., will face charges in the death of thirty-five-year-old Dennis Green, according to Krystal Dotson, Horry County police spokeswoman. The exact charges are pending, she said.
Dennis Green and Donnielle Green went to the hospital around 5 a.m. Police stated she “was not cooperating,” according to the report. An Horry County officer at the hospital tried to gain information about the stabbing, but noted in the report that Donnielle Green may have been “highly intoxicated.”
She told police that she and the victim were at Thee Doll House, and the victim went to a nearby gas station and returned to the vehicle with a stab wound, according to the report. She later stated that the stabbing happened at a gas station near Applebee’s or Outback in North Myrtle Beach, police said.
She told police she drove Dennis Green to the hospital.
Authorities said the woman was “belligerent and disrespectful to the entire hospital staff” and the responding officer.
Dennis Green died of traumatic injuries from the stabbing at 1:25 p.m., according to Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.
Donnielle Green is currently being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
