Two Dollar General stores were broken into. Now police are asking for the public’s help

Two Georgetown County-area Dollar General stores were broken into early Thursday morning, and authorities are asking for the public’s help in the investigation.

Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the first break-in about 4 a.m. to a Dollar General on U.S. 17 in Litchfield, then called again to another store on St. Delight’s Road about an hour later, according to a release from Jason Lesley, spokesman with the GCSO.

“Investigators are hoping that a passing motorist noticed a vehicle or something out of the ordinary at either of the stores that can be used to identify a suspect. Anyone with information is being asked to call 843-546-5102,” said Lesley in the release.
