Police looking for missing car with ‘no rims’ and a key stuck in its ignition switch
Police are searching for a Honda Accord that was reportedly left unlocked with a key stuck in its ignition outside the Aquarius Motel Sunday.
Myrtle Beach officers were flagged down at the 204 Mr. Joe White Avenue motel around 5 a.m. Sunday by a man who said his 2004 green Honda Accord was missing from the parking lot.
The man told police he asked an employee at the motel about the missing car and she said she saw “someone with a towel over their head” get in the car and drive away, according to an investigation report.
The man told police the rear passenger-side bumper of his car had been damaged, previously. “The vehicle has no rims, but where the rims would be it is all black,” according to the report.
The key was left in the ignition because it was stuck there, the man told police, adding that he locked all of the doors, “except for the driver’s side.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Myrtle Beach Police Department at 843-918-1382.
