Loris man robbed by sawed-off shotgun-toting suspect, report says
A 48-year-old man told Horry County police he was robbed and beaten by men - one of whom carried a sawed-off shotgun and asked about the whereabouts of drugs.
Officers were called about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to a home on Durham Lane in the Loris area in reference to an armed robbery. The victim told authorities two men held him at gunpoint as they robbed him in a yard.
The victim told police one of the suspects held a sawed-off shotgun as he asked the victim the whereabouts of his drugs, according to a police report.
The other suspect then struck the victim in the back of the head. Police said the victim didn’t have visible injuries.
The victim said he told the suspects he was going to call police and the suspects snatched his phone from his hand. The man said the suspects then ran from the area.
Police combed the surrounding area and spoke with multiple neighbors, but didn’t find the pair, the report says.
