The guys who stole his bike pulled an assault rifle on him, man tells police

A man told police that he was attacked by a group of guys who stole his mo-ped and pulled an assault rifle on him around 2 a.m. Sunday near the South Seas Resort.

The man said he had pulled into the beach access area in the south parking lot of the hotel where a group of guys accused him of stealing one of their chains. The group ran after him, knocked him off of his yellow mo-ped and stole the bike while someone pulled out an assault rifle, the man told police in an incident report.

Lacerations were observed on the man’s hands, according to the report.

The incident remains under investigation.
