Wanted man flees from cops in Conway

A man wanted by deputies was apprehended after a foot chase in Conway Thursday afternoon.

Deputies of the Horry County Sheriff’s Office were attempting to arrest a man, wanted on active warrants, on D Street in Conway when the suspect fled the scene, initiating a foot chase with officers, according to HCSO Sgt. Timmy Tyner.

The foot chase crossed U.S. Highway 501, near Hardees Auto Sales, Tyner confirmed.

The suspect was eventually taken into custody.
