Body found in van prompts Horry County police investigation

A body found in a van in Conway has prompted an investigation by Horry County police.

Officers responded to a home on Shawn Lane at 8:43 p.m. Monday night after a body was found in a van in the backyard of a resident. The resident said that he was unaware if the victim had any medical problems.

The major crimes team and CSI took over the case and are investigating.
