Socastee High School has multi-year reunion

Former Socastee High School students gathered together once again to renew old friendships. Members of classes from 1949 through 1970 met at three different locations over the weekend of October 16-18, 2015.

This was the fourth meeting organized by the group known as Socastee Classic Reunions. Representatives from many of the classes came together under the leadership of Bill Black of Surfside Beach. Festivities began on Friday night with a meeting at the Sea Mist Resort Conference Center. Fun was had by all as they enjoyed good food and renewed friendships to classic hits from the 1950’s and 1960’s.

About 125 were in attendance for the evening.

On Saturday evening, the group moved to the Giant Crab Restaurant in Myrtle Beach where 117 classmates came together to enjoy a meal of tasty food. The weekend came to an end with a cookout on the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base with more than 100 in attendance.
