Thanks to the participation of 96 players in its second annual 9 Hole Captain’s Choice Golf Tournaments at the Heritage Club and a significant increase in sponsors, Assembly 3272 of the Knights of Columbus raised $5,200 to help fund the construction of a memorial wall honoring the special men and women of the Georgetown County community who gave their lives in our nation’s military conflicts starting with the Revolution War.

Tom Bowen, chairman of the Golf Committee of Assembly 3272, presented a $5,200 “check of expectation” to Ron Gilbert, President of Georgetown County Veterans Memorial, Inc., a 501(c)3 (GCVM) organization and Rodney Ward, commander of American Legion Post 114 and amember of the GCVM board of directors.
