Pawleys Island Lions award scholarships

Pawleys Island Lions Club President Rick Senatore presented three 2015 Waccamaw High School graduates with scholarships totaling $7,500. The Lions Club Scholarship Committee of Mary Ward, Lion John Long and Lion Bob Hayes selected the winners as follows:

▪ Caitlyn Krask won the Ron Ward Memorial Scholarship. Krask plans to study business management and biological science and has been accepted at Tri-County Technical College on a two-year bridge program to Clemson University.

▪ Jade Brady won the Charlie & Fran Drexel Scholarship. Brady, a graduating junior, is planning to become a dermatologist and has been accepted to the College of Charleston.

▪ Casey Lucas won the Roger & Helene Allen Scholarship. Lucas is a University of South Carolina Masters Scholar and Wofford Scholar, is planning on a career combining business, mathematics and psychology, and has been accepted for admission to Clemson University.

The club offers these scholarships annually to deserving seniors who are graduating from Waccamaw High.
