Our Lady Star of the Sea guild donates to Teen Angels

Submitted photo

Vice President Christina Rohan and treasurer GeorgAnn Feldman of Our Lady Star of the Sea Ladies Guild recently presented a check to North Myrtle Beach High School Teen Angels. Receiving the check was Renee Hembree, representative of the Teen Angels, and Trevor Strawderman, principal of North Myrtle Beach High. The high school’s yearbook staff also was at the presentation.

Our Lady Star of the Sea Guild was able to make this donation of $600 from the proceeds of its Vintage Fashion Show and Tea.

Teen Angels of North Myrtle Beach is a local organization that assists homeless and less fortunate North Myrtle Beach High School students by providing the little “luxuries” of teenage life, including schoolbooks, yearbooks, prom attire, personal care products, transportation to dentists and doctors, and more. These are students too old for foster care yet too young to do it all on their own, and they’ve made the tough decision to stay in school, despite the challenges, in hopes of a better future.
