Sons of Italy award scholarship

Each year, the Myrtle Beach Sons of Italy Lodge #2662 awards a $1,500 scholarship to a high school student of Italian descent.

This year’s recipient is Christopher Moloney. He is a recent graduate of Socastee High School where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Moloney and his family were guests for dinner at the lodge the evening the presentation was made.

Moloney will begin his college career at the University of South Carolina.
