Myrtle Beach students win essay contest

Four fifth-graders from Myrtle Beach Intermediate School recently were awarded gift cards valued at $250 and certificates of appreciation for essays they wrote for the Americanism essay program of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit 30, Myrtle Beach.

The topic was “What Living in America Means to Me.” The winners were Sarah Sherman, first place; Gavin Beeson, second place; Muso Faziullaev, third place; and Jewlian Hunter, fourth place.
