Firefighters group awards scholarships

The S.C. State Firefighters Association awarded 30 $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and members of the S.C. fire service to further their firefighting and management education. Local recipients are:

▪ Academy for Technology and Academics | Chris Allen, Ryan Carini, Charlie Franklin, Noah Hunt, Aaron Louck and Lori Orndorff

▪ Horry County Fire Rescue | Brad Kavetski

▪ Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue | Thomas M. Gwyer
