North Myrtle Beach High student receives scholarship
Matthew Stanaland of Little River, a senior at North Myrtle Beach High, received a $1,500 college scholarship from HTC and the Foundation for Rural Service, the philanthropic arm of NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association. Stanaland has been accepted to Clemson University and plans to study engineering.
The FRS scholarship program awarded 53 scholarships, ranging from $1,500 to $5,000, from more than 1,400 applications, to rural youth across the United States. The goal of the program is to help further higher education opportunities among rural high school students.
